Lucapa Diamond Company and its partners Endiama and Rosas & Petalas joint venture mined diamond weighing 92 carats on a new mining unit 28 Lulo project (Lulo) in Angola.
Diamond belongs to type I and has D color colorimeter Yehuda, it said in a statement.
Lucapa owns 40% of the diamond project and is its operator.
The company and its partners recently extracted 227-carat diamond mountain block 28. "Getting 92-carat stone was another milestone for Lucapa and its partners: the total weight of all the special diamonds (individual stones weighing over 10.8 carats), extracted in Lulo now more than 10 000 carats, "- said the executive director of Lucapa Vezeroll Stephen (Stephen Wetherall).
Meanwhile, Lucapa are told that it would begin drilling priority targets at Lulo, completely surrendering to the operation of its new crawler drilling rig.
The Company and its partners are working to identify kimberlite source or sources of valuable alluvial diamonds extracted as a result of the current production at the Lulo.
