According to government statistics, sales in American jewelry stores in June increased by 3% on a year-on-year basis, to $ 2.391 billion, Rapaport reports.
As previously reported by Rapaport News, American sales of jewelry and watches for all retail channels for the month increased by 3.3% to $ 4.866 billion, while sales of watches grew by 3.6% to $ 666.3 million.
In the first half of the year sales in jewelry stores in the US showed an increase of 4.3% on a year-on-year basis, to $ 15.34 billion, while total retail sales rose 2.3% to $ 30.323 billion, while sales of watches increased 1.4% to $ 4,134 billion, according to Rapaport News.
