President and CEO of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Susan Jacques will be the guest of honor of the International Diamond Week, organized by the Israeli Diamond Exchange (IDE) from September 1 to 4.
Jacques accepted an invitation from IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer (Shmuel Schnitzer), according to a press release received by Rough & Polished.
"We are honored to receive Susan Jacques at the upcoming diamond week," said Schnitzer. "Women play an increasingly important role in the system of supplies of precious stones and jewelry, and Jacques has become another brilliant example of how women successfully make a career in our industry. Currently, the IDE has about 250 women, which is only about 10% of the total membership. However, looking at the number of young women in companies that are candidates for membership in the IDE, we can expect an increase in the number of women in the IDE in the future. I am sure that the president of the GIA can give them useful advice. "
Susan Jacques noted that she was pleased to be recognized by such a respected organization and expressed her readiness to share her experience with the participants of the event.
