Sarine Technologies, one of the leaders in the development of technologies and production of equipment for the diamond and diamond industries, responded to the appeal of one of the most famous jewelry manufacturers and retailers, developing a new device that can evaluate the symmetry of the stone. In its press release, the Israeli company Sarine Technologies, whose shares are traded on the Singapore exchange, announced that at the request of Tiffany & Co. A new device was developed under the name DiaMension Axiom, which measures the proportions of both round diamonds and precious stones of a fantasy shape, Israelidiamond.co.il reports.
The idea of creating Axiom originated three years ago, when Tiffany instructed Sarine to develop a tool that could measure the symmetry of the faces of a diamond in accordance with a new set of standards developed by the jewelry company. At that time, there was no technology for automatically measuring these parameters; The measurements were carried out by specially trained gemologists under a microscope.
The Axiom is able to measure even the smallest details of a precious stone - such as the closing of faces, the correctness of their juxtaposition and the unevenness on their surface - necessary for an accurate assessment of the symmetry of the stone. Senior Vice President of Tiffany's Tiffany Diamonds & Gemstones Manufacturing Division, Andy Hart, praised the Axiom product, saying that it will help improve the company's performance and allow it to continue to provide its customers with diamonds of the highest quality.
