"Earlier this summer, during the 36th World Diamond Congress in Antwerp, the Diamond Exchange of Canada was admitted to the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB)," said IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer. "This is a significant event, as Canada is not only an important diamond miner, but will also serve as a distribution center for diamonds both domestically and possibly in neighboring northern US states."
Schnitzer also stressed that as an honorary president of the WFDB, he expects to explore opportunities for developing close cooperation with the Canadian stock exchange, "since the members of the federation are always open to establishing new business relations."
"The visit of the representatives of the Canadian Diamond Exchange in September will be an excellent start on the way to this goal," Schnitzer said.
