In September, there will be two important jewelry exhibitions: the 54th Bangkok Gems and Jewelery Fair (54th Bangkok Gems and Jewelery Fair), which will be held from 9 to 13 September in the capital of Thailand, and the Hong Kong Jewelry and Gem Fair (September Hong Kong Jewelery & Gem Fair), which will be held from 15 to 21 September at the Hong Kong Exhibition Center. The main objective of these exhibitions is replenishment of stocks for the festive season of 2014 in the retail sector.
To attract buyers to the Bangkok exhibition and stimulate trade growth, the Thai government announced the cancellation of a 20 percent duty on imported gemstones and jewelry products sold at the event.
At a larger Hong Kong trade fair organized by UBM Asia, more than 3,600 participants from 48 countries will present their products. According to the organizers, this event will attract over 52 thousand buyers from 154 countries.
This year, 22 pavilions will work at the Hong Kong Fair, including the world's largest diamond pavilion, Asia's largest pavilion of precious stones, comprising more than 1,600 suppliers under one roof, and a pearl pavilion.
